Electric sockets and brick walls
Hello,
I was checking out some air sealing guides and they all say to air seal electric sockets and and light switches on walls. 1. If this is a brick wall, do sockets and switches need insulation? 2. If it is an inner wall is there less need for insulation rather than an outer wall? 3. Do ceiling lights need insulation as well if there is no attic and the roof is just a flat insulated surface? Thanks |

They need more of and air seal than insulation and this would be applicable in both situations.
If can lights are in a flat roof assembly, they should be both air tight and IC rated.
