Crawl space, +/-3ft deep under bathroom


As promised, I'm gutting my 1/2 bath today because the floor had nearly 3 inches of play. The joists under the bathroom are 2x8's and there's varying gaps between them (15 1/2- 17" between two and 14" between the next two, and 11.75 between the 3rd and 4th. What should I stick in there for insulation? It appears as if they took the time to tack thick plastic sheeting to the outside walls, which matters in terms of circulation I suppose. I'm debating... see photo of demo area...
