The master bed room is directly over my double garage and is always the warmest room in the house. Others have said its due to inadequate insulation in the garage ceiling/bed room floor.
House is in San Antonio, TX. Built in '95. 2003 A/C unit can keep the house at any temp I desire, so that's not the issue. Thermostat for upstairs is in the MBR so we can crank it down to keep the room cool, but I'm wondering if I can do anything to better insulate the floor.
The garage ceiling is finished but the carpet needs replacing in the MBR so I'll have access to the floor of that helps.
If the sub-flooring is glued, go through the ceiling....Gary
