Basement - built wall 6" out from concrete wall

Hi there,
I live in Toronto.
I just finished framing my basement.
Before I framed it , I deliberated on the ENDLESS amount of opinions on the best way to do the insulation. - I decided to place my studs approx. 1/4" - 1/2" out from concrete wall , fiberglass batting between the studs , poly vapor barrier on the outside of the studs.
I have had many people tell me that I'm doing it wrong and that the vapor barrier should be on the concrete wall , or on both the cold and warm sides, etc., but that's not really my question here...
While framing , I encountered a situation where it made sense to place a 9' section of wall about 6" out from the cement (as opposed to 1/4"). Given the way that I have decided to insulate , should I still put fiberglass bats between the studs and poly over top (leaving a 6" deep x 9' long x 7' high pocket in between the insulation and the concrete) , or should I do something else like applying insulation directly to the concrete?
Any opinion would be great.
Cheers.

I wouldn't put any batt insulation in direct contact with the concrete in this case.

I hope the grading and foundation water management are spot on for your home.

With all that you read on here, I am surprised that you arrived at this option.
