Attic Storage with additional insulation
I have loose cellulose insulation in my attic and I will be adding several more inches this winter to increase the R value. However, that means that all of my support beams will be buried in insulation and I can no longer rest plywood on them and use the attic for storage as I currently do.
What is the best way to increase the height of the attic floor so I can have my additional insulation and storage? I could lay down additional wood beams, but that seems like it would add quite a bit of weight to the house. Is there an easier, cheaper way to have my insulation and keep some storage?
