Is this weed?
I saw some weed-like plants growing vigorously arround my tree. It's growing so close to the tree and rooted so firmly that I thought it grows from the extended root of the tree.
However, the leaves don't look like the tree's leaves, or that of any other nearby shrub. Do you know whether this is weed? Should I get rid of it? |

Is this weed?
I understand people may have different definition on what is weed and what is not.
Maybe I should ask this way: is that part of (growing out of) the bigger tree which it is growing close to? If not, what plant is that? |

Is this weed?
Weed or not, it looks like a mess to me. I’d clear all that crap out of there.

Here's the rule: Yank on it. If it comes out easily it was a pretty flower. If not, its a weed

They are root suckers from the big tree, you will NOT be able to pull them up and if you spray them with a weed killer, you will most likely damage the tree( Bradford Pear?). You will need to cut them as close to the ground as possible and keep doing it.

A weed is any unwanted plant. If you like it, it's a plant. If you don't, it's a weed. If it's got serrated leaves and a nice skunky smell and some furry buds, it's MY weed.
