Seed Selection ?

I'm looking around for fall seeds and am not completely clear what I'm looking at all the time. I've seen a huge range in price, from $2 / 200 to $2 / 1000 (amazon link) for the same basic variety. What accounts for this difference, other than the "Organic" label and is there really any major difference in the end result?
