Re leveling patio
Hi I had a blue stone patio laid a year ago. The pavers were laid on road base and a thick layer of cement/concrete or the pavers are cemented down. As I've started using the garden I've noticed that the patio was not laid properly, it is not level.
I would like to know if this can be fixed without ruining the pavers?
Obviously you have to get under the pavers to fix the grade/level problem. If they are somehow "glued" down to a subtrate you may end up breaking them trying to get them loose. Sorry to bring such news to you. If they are on on a layer of mortar or even a Quickset mix you should, with care, be able to get under them with a long masonry type flat spade.
How big are the pavers? My mind's eye visualizes large ones.
This seems like a relatively new installation from what you describe. What happened in such a short time to take your patio off level? Was the soil under the patio not compacted properly or something? Are there drainage issue like from a misguided gutter downspout?
Do address the infrastructure as to what has gone wrong before anything else.
