pruning a pin oak without a central leader

irissong Newbie   Join Date: Jul 2011 Posts: 1	pruning a pin oak without a central leader I planted a pin oak a few years back, and now realize that it has no central leader. The truck ends about 6 feet up. I tried encouraging a branch to take the role by trimming, but it's not working. Any suggestions?
