Paint cleaning poured around evergreens.
Our next door neighbors put in a built-in pool. When they painted the pool, the painters cleaned their buckets and brushes around our evergreen berm and they splashed paint on the branches. I am especially concerned since the area was dry when they dumped these chemicals around the trees. Can this hurt the evergreens?

Depends on the paint they were using
"painters", maybe, but professional, not |
So what kind of paint would be harmful and what not?
And any way to tell visually on the tree, etc. w/o knowing what type of paint was used? |
Wait until spring.....if the tree stays green then your fine. If not....take pictures and get a hold of the pool company. Tell them you want a new tree.
In reality, I think you will be ok.....most of the paints now are water based. I wash off my brushes in the yard on a regular basis....no issues. |
