Need help identifying a plant in neighbor's yard

My neighbor has a plant hanging from a tree in his yard that I am trying to identify. It appears to be growing out of a large bulb or seed in all directions. Large green stems protrude with large leaves at the end. I believe it will produce flowers this Spring.

My wife and I have seen it in other yards here in Southwest Florida and may be interested in getting one ourselves. Not sure how to identify exactly what it is.

They are always hanging from a tree. The bulb or seed is simply suspended in the air.

Anyone know what I'm referring to? Thanks for your help.

Need help identifying a plant in neighbor's yard

Short of a photo this will be a hard thing for people on the internet to identify - some sort of epiphyte, obviously, but which?

Is there a reason you are not ASKING your neighbor?

Need help identifying a plant in neighbor's yard

Hi Leah,

Thanks for your response. I will get a picture of the plant and post it tomorrow. Hopefully, you might be able to tell us what it is.

We live in Southwest Florida, and my neighbor splits time between here and somewhere up north. They won't be back until next Fall. I had some free time this weekend so I thought I would try to figure out what type of plant it is.

Check back tomorrow or Tuesday and I'll have a picture of it uploaded. Thanks again.

So there IS a reason you don't ask your neighbor they're not there . We'll watch for a pic.
