Hedge died

Hi, I have a 20 meters hedge in my garden, but every year two of these 20 meters have a hole because the edge died. The problem is the water in that place, but even if I remove all the field to allow water to go away I have always the same problem. Do you have any suggestion for me ?

Hedge died

Anthony---please tell us what kind of hedge you have and your location----

Often improper pruning is a factor--location and type of hedge?
