Question

Flagstone between foundation and paver patio

Hi All,

I am new to this forum so my apologies in advance but I am cluless

I have 2 flower beds between my existing paver patio and the foundation of the house. As much as I like flowers, I do not like the set up. Originally, I wanted to just expand the patio but there is a gas pipe running underneath those 2 beds that is no more than 2-3 inches below. (Whoever did the patio and the gas fireplace line definately skipped on the proper installation.) Eventually I want to have that pipe up to code, but for the time being I was wondering if I could just lay some flagstones with grass in between.

Any other ideas or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks a bunch.

I am attaching a picture of the current situation :/
