what to put on wood so plaster/fast fix stays
This is a 1929 casa bathroom. The one picture is what used to be an old shower. We're keeping the bones of it and just putting stuff (fast fix?) on the walls so it's a textured wall with an opening. My question is...
What steps do I need to do in order to achieve a textured type wall?
I was thinking putting that wire I see sticking out behind the original plaster on all the bare wood, then put fast fix over that and just start layering it up so it gets to be even with the rest of the wall. The new wood is pretty flush with the old wall so I can't build it up too much. There were tiles there and we're not putting tiles up, just texturing the surface. By the way the new wood on the left holds durock for the tub/shower. (Don't know if that matters or not.)
Thanks for your guidance.
