Texturing walls

Removed old wallpaper from wall. Applying texture with crow's foot, but paper backing on sheet rock is sticking up when I apply texture. How do I fix it.

Really need a picture.
Did you remove all the old glue and prime the wall before trying to texture?
Not going to find may fans on textured anything on this site so beware.
Hard to paint next to to imposable to clean and repair without it showing.

Proper procedure would be to lightly sand walls after removing paper. Prime with a primer/sealer. Lightly sand again. Glaze coat all walls, likely 2 - 3 coats, with joint compound (sanding between coats). Once walls are smooth, prime and paint. "Crow's foot" texture is intended for ceilings, not walls, and I wouldn't recommend using it on ceilings either unless it's to match what's already there....

sounds like you could have a problem with the paper peeling off of the drywall. pictures will help. you may have to peel away lots of loose paper. then mud it with regular mud. let it sit and dry for quite a while. then do your texture if you want.

If you don't seal the loose paper with a sealer/primer, it will keep "blistering"....
