I hope this is the right place to post this. I hired a contractor to do a tinted USG diamond finish skim coat over existing drywall. The job is unacceptable in terms of color and detail. Now I would like to hire a plasterer to repair/redo the job. My question is, assuming the bonding of what is there is OK - Can a skimcoat of USG Diamond finish be put over another or will I have to do another coat of bonding agent? If so will that work?. The skimcoat put on by the contractor is rough in places but hard and shiney in others.

I also posted this in drywall so sorry for the double post.
Thanks in advance.
