seam support crossbar in ceiling drywall repair

Consider this repair joint/seam. When there is a joint line that goes perpendicular to the ceiling beams, do I need to insert a support 2x4 crossbar between the beams along where the seam is going to be? I was thinking maybe it would be a good idea for extra support so that it doesn't sag in the future where the seam is supported only by tape. But then again, there isn't much heavy load on it so maybe it's an overkill. Help me decide.

Drywall seams should never be unsupported.
Need to have far straighter cuts then that.

Of course, this is not the final cut... So it's fine like this, you're saying, with support (+ straightening the line)?
