I recently had a significant roof leak near a corner of my house. The water ran through the exterior wall and dry wall and seeped out under the baseboards on the first level, resulting in about an inch of standing water in the corner of my dining room. This happened twice before a temp fix could happen to the roof. There was also water leaking from the ceiling of the first floor dining room, it came through the light fixture.

My question is will I have to replace the entire wall up and downstairs including the ceiling on the first floor? I have heard some people say it might be fine and other say there is no doubt that there is mold growing and I need to replace the drywall and insulation. What is the best was to check if I have to replace it or not?

Thanks!
