Replacing plaster with drywall

Hi, first post from Boston...
We have a drafty detached garage, built in the 1930s. The walls are plaster over metal lath. There is no electricity or insulation. The back wall was damaged by a car. I removed all of the plaster and lath down to the studs where it was damaged. I have a 3' x 8' piece of sheetrock (1/2") ready to screw into place. I will not put in any insulation.
My only question is, should I put up a piece of polyethlene/plastic/other first, as a vapor barrier?
Thanks in advance!

Not needed in an unheated garage--so add your patch and start taping.

Your going to have to shim out the studs if you expect this to come out even.

really no need, you wouldnt be making a vapor barrier if it doesnt run from floor to ceiling and wall to wall. Point less
