I was going to repaint my bathroom and while pulling off a light fixture from the wall, I pulled a huge chunk of the vinyl from the vinyl coated sheetrock (I assume it's vinyl coated since it's plastic like). What I have now is white exposed gypsum. is there a way to reseal this effectively without replacing the sheet?
Thanks joecaption for your quick response. It's a regular apartment. I think the way to go is probably to use joint compound, sand it down and then seal it with a primer. Anyone know of a pitfall to this approach?
