Repairing trim around closet?

Hi Everyone - I'm looking for tips on how to repair some chipped trim around my closet. I'm thinking wood filler, putty knife, sand paper, and paint? Any recommendations on wood filler that I can buy at Lowe's?

"Plastic Wood" brand is the standard for those sorts of repairs and should work fine on that. When you apply it and shape it, try and get it as close to flat and level and the shape of the adjoining wood as possible since it is a bit of a bear to sand. Sand paper wrapped around a wood block will help in that process.

Plastic Wood will work, or Durham's Rock Hard Putty. Both will be similar in how you use them, and the results. I prefer Durham's because it's pretty cheap.

Good luck!
