Plaster walls
I have a home that is more than 100 years old. The plaster walls have been wallpapered (multiple times). I know from stripping paper from one bedroom that when chunks of plaster will come out with the stripping. There are some cracks. What is the likelihood that stripping the paper, repairing and skimming the plaster will have be a better choice than hanging 1/4 inch drywall over the plaeter? My baseboards are wide and decorative and I'd rather not lose the edge trim (although in some places the plaster has been replaced and is close to the edge). Also, what advice do you have for hanging pictures on plaster walls?
