Anybody have any advice or experience on the following:
One room of our house had old wallpaper with lathe and plaster underneath. We wanted the wallpaper gone, but plaster was a bit crumbly, so we had a team come and put a bonding agent over the paper, then skim coat of mud over that.
Now the skim coat is even, sanded and completely dry. What are our options for the surface now? We would prefer not to simply paint it, but Venetian plaster is over our budget. Is it possible to put a tinted plaster over the skim coat?
Thanks for your ideas!
