Painting/Patching Tape Paint

2.5 - 3 Week old Aura.
Recently put blue painters tape on the side in which the stair string/stair landing meets paint.

Tape was on for 5 days - the only ~moisture~ it may have some was the oil from the staining. Fast foward today, I SLOWLY removed the tape...only to it have lifted edges of paint (which I expected) but also in some spots...it also lifted the top layer of paper on the sheetrock, exposing brown.

No way around this . Got to gardz the paper, mud, prime and paint the Entire Wall so it blends in proper right ?
The finish is Aura Matte.

Painting/Patching Tape Paint

In my very limited experience (not a pro) but have my fair share of diy.......paint blending is no always as ~uniform~ as full re-roll.
I guess it's paint dependent as well....some are better than others.

right, Aura will blend almost perfectly, but if the tape is lifting the paint, you have an under lying problem to start with
also, should have used the orange core delicate tape
