painting


i have a 2011 mobile home .i have sheetrock throughout. its a wallpaper made to the sheetrock called st. charles. i want to paint the walls now. whats the best way to make paint stick to it? i want to make it to hold up and not peel. any comments????????

Clean it, use a bonding primer and cross your fingers and hope it sticks. That stuff was never intended to be painted, it's to slick.
You could also remove all the trim around all the doors and windows and go over it with 1/4" sheetrock.

Got a good paint store near you? Not the big Box usually. Go talk to them. I wonder if a sanding would help? Not sure but I would ask them.

It's a vinyl paper most likly, not something you want to be sanding on.
