new to drywall...
Okay, I've never done drywall before in my life, but I did some reading and thought I might be up to the challenge. The joint pictured is on the ceiling of a utulity room I am building: http://www.flickr.com/photos/47944138@N07/4395342575/. Apparently the tape didn't stick as it should have. When the first coat dried it left this blulge. I was thinking I could just put a coat or two more and then sand and everything would be okay. Now I have my doubts. Any words of wisdom? Is there anything I can do to fix this, or do I need to start over? By the way, a few of the wall joints turned out the same way.
Thanks for any advice.
It's an air bubble, a couple of more coats and sanding will NOT work. It also appears to be in the middle of the joint. Bad spot. You can cut the bubble and fill behind the tape with compound. Some can be cut out completly and be filled with compound.
