never was there before


i had a new roof put on about 2 years ago. i notice the celling wallboard tape is coming loose. also where the seams are i notice little cracks. what could be happening

it could be caused by one of many things, was the roof a tear off and replace? new shingles n top of old? could be the extra weight. could be simple settling of the home or shrinking of the wood structure?

You probably also had eggs for breakfast two years ago. There could be as much connection between the eggs and the tape problem as between the roof and the tape problem. Diagnosing this type of problem requires very careful evaluation of a wide range of evidence, and often careful measurement to determine if there are related issues (settlement of floor or ceiling, racking of the house, impact damage, wind damage etc.) Do not assume that there is any connection between the roof and the apparent damage.
