Is this on the tapered edge joint or a butt joint (non-tapered)
How big of a knife did you use when mudding ?

The important question would be can you FEEL the tape or is it just visible? Tape is a paintable surface and if the joint is smooth to the touch there's no need for more mud....

you can feel them a tiny bit. there not raised way up or anything, but you can just see and feel the outline of the tape.

take a straight edje and check for flat on the recessed seams you may need to sand some depending on how high. your butts are going to be high thats why I feather to each side at least 12"

Pull a "tight skim coat on either side of the tape and you should be fine.

well, after the first coat dried for a few days,, the lines from the tape almost totaly dissapeared. i put on another coat of primer. and now there gone.i think the tape might have just sucked up the moisture from the paint..
