Moisture resistant drywall and mudding drying time

Hello, I am in the process of redoing my basement bathroom and I am using moisture resistant (purple and green) drywall. I was mudding the corners and noticed little dark specks. Then I noticed the mud wasn't completely dry. I mudded 3 or 4 days ago.

I didn't over mud either, I've been trying to do more layers with less mud, so I don't have to sand as much.

So, my question really is...does moisture resistant drywall cause the mud to dry slower?

Weird thing is, this is only on the purple drywall.

More likely high humidly causing it to take longer.
Lower the humidity or add some heat to speed it up.
There should never be any specks in it. Dark specks would make me think mold already setting in.
Go buy a humidly gauge.
It should be no more then 45%.
If it is then you need a dehumidifier.

I don't think its mold, i think its just wet still. Could very well just be a high humidity. I'll open a window in there and get some air flow.
