Lightweight Drywall

I am wondering the strength of the drywall comparing to the regular sheets; And what products are used to make it so much lighter? Cliff

I believe they use dolomite instead of gypsum our vice-versa. Both of these are actually heavy minerals. They also lace it with a.plastic or fiberglass filler lighter than the rock.

If you had a computer you could look up the MSDS Sheets on the products and learn the answers to your questions rather than the speculative answers you will get here.
