Knife for tight corners?

Hi all,

I've looked around at different stores but can't find a knife or tool that allows me to mud tight corners - 60 degree inside corners at the top of a stairway.

Any ideas? Do angled knives exist for things like this? How is it normally finished?

Without a picture it's hard to say.
I just make do with my regular drywall knives.

Here is a pic. I'm trying to finish the wall side but I can't fit any of my knives up into the corner.

Yes, angled knives are availavle from a drywall supply house like Ames---

In a pinch, a pair of tin snips can be used to modify an old knife----that is what I do when I can't find my angled knife----

Also the big box stores have sets of plastic knifes you can alter to fit special situations.

with such a short span you could just use regular paper tape, let it dry and then coat each side.

I had the same problem this past weekend.....

I took a piece of rubber base board and used it as a 'former'....it actually did a decent job.....

BTW....I have a new appreciation for guys that do drywall....on a positive note....it's a good workout for the arms....
