how much of a gap is necessary

We are tearing out our t-bar drop ceiling in the bathroom and we also have to replace our current neo-corner shower stall ... I am looking at putting in a "drywall/ sheet-rock? " ceiling however it will only be 3/4 inch from the top of the wall panels of the new shower stall. The total height of the stall walls from the floor up (base included) is 80 inches... and I need to set the ceiling at 80 3/4". Is there a minimum that I must keep???
I currently have a 77" high shower wall (base included) installed but I can not find a full kit (walls and base) only being 77" high anywhere !!! So, if you have any knowledge of where I can purchase one of these, just let me know that too ... this would make life easier I guess.
Thanks in advance to all for all the help:thumbup:

I wouldn't use regular drywall above the shower.:)

I like to see MR (moisture resistant) drywall used throughout any bathroom that has a shower. Especially over the shower (5/8").

This isn't to say regular drywall isn't used all of the time because it is, but if you have an opportunity to head-off future issues, now's the time to do it.:)

i would advise to use the green board on all ceilings and surounds good luck
to deal with the gap have you thought about some type of trim to hide it?
