How do I duplicate this texture?

Been reading this forum for a while now and I finally have a question.

My wife wants me to put this texture on our bathroom remodel. I've never done this before and wonder how it's done.

Thanks for any information you can give me.

Here are some pics:

How do I duplicate this texture?

do you know if that is painted or the color is in the material?

It looks like a plaster finish or at least an intent to copy one.

here is a link that has a variety of plaster finishes you can review:

I'm not sure if it was painted on or if it's in the plaster itself, my wife took the pictures. I was wondering if it was an attempt at venetian plastering.

Thanks for the link, I'll look through the samples.

looks to me its a "plaster" type finish (either mud or blue board and plaster not sure). then it looks like it was painted and then stained. Some paints have that variation in color (not sure how but i know it is done).
