Help Identify This Ceiling Texture :(

About to do my ceiling project (coffering and crown), and we're finalizing the layout before I make the materials list. We want to move some of the can lights, the chandellier, etc. The only problem is that I have about 600 sq ft of this texture and nobody can tell me what it is!

It seems to be about 1/16" thick in most spots. On everyday drywall. Definitely appears troweled on. Has a sandy, gritty texture. The lighter tone exists underneath the darker tone.

We don't mind it (actually, we somewhat enjoy it), but I need to know if it's going to be possible to reproduce it. Otherwise, there's going to be a whole lot of painting, or scraping, or paneling... and I don't exactly enjoy ladder time.

Pros, what is this?

These might help... they also did the bathroom walls with the stuff in a baby blue.

that looks a lot like venecian plaster

an example of that is this http://thefauxchateau.com/yahoo_site...890348_std.jpg

which is a lot higher quality then in your pic, but maybe they just did a low end job?

Don't know. Haven't found anything in this house pro yet, so it's something that is or was once available at a big box.

I see Behr sells a product like this at both, but it doesn't seem to look the same to me.

Bump.

Any other opinions?

Do the commercial Venetian Plaster products come pre-colored or tintable?
