firing stripes
Do to attach firing strips to poured concrete walls

I'd advise framing a 2"x4" wall in front of the poured wall. Much easier to run any necessary wiring, plumbing, etc. Wall will be straighter (unless your concrete form guys were excellent). If you insist on furring (or have no choice for some reason), shoot with a powder actuated tool (gun). I would also use adhesive to be on the safe side. I've had strips turn loose when nailing up the drywall when not glued (someone else did the strips).

Other options:

Glue Styrofoam to the concrete (why have cold walls?), then glue the drywall to the styrofoam.

Or you can directly glue the drywall to the concrete, using concrete nails to tack the sheets while the glue dries.

Personally I would insulate/vapor barrier that concrete wall before installing drywall.
