Easy Sand Setting vs. Green Bucket

What JC is harder when dry - easy sand setting JC versus green bucket.

I plan to use Green bucket for the finish coat but durabond brown bag is not available. Alot of the supply houses carry the ES setting as well as the big box stores.

For the taping.....which one is the harder finish, ES setting or green bucket.
Drying times is a whole nuther discussion...

green will be a bit harder it has glue in it... Im taping a hallway and being a beginner I will be making a few batches of 90 for my retaping, then skimming the wall with easy sand

Easy Sand Setting vs. Green Bucket

I had to hunt for this stuff as a couple of the bigger supply houses did not even carry durabond vs. es setting compound....hell, the counter guys think it's the same stuff, just *better* as it's sandable.

Found it but also ended up paying $4 more per bag than what I thought it should be at......

Don't use Easysand IMO. It's really soft. Do 2 coats of durabond, maybe a 3rd depending on how wide you go, and then finish it off with green bucket. It will be a much harder finish overall...
