The edge of the first sheet of drywall on the ceiling falls halfway into two recessed light fixtures, meaning the second sheet would start in the light fixtures. Is this okay, or should I cut the drywall such that the light fixtures fall in the middle of the drywall?
You will be fine--just keep going---That will add a bit of time to the taping--but that's life.
