Drywall tape??????

OK this may sound dumb But I am not a pro for sheet rock. I am going to Tape and mud a room. I am not using fiber mesh tape for reasons of being told not to use it unless I am using hot mud I don't work that fast so I am just going to be using Beadex all purpose joint compound.

Now is there a right side of the paper tape and a wrong side of the tape to use? I know this sounds silly but it might make a difference in the finished product. Thanks in advance.

No difference what so ever---

There are different muds for different phases of the job, however.

Do you have any knowledge of the three types of mud?
