drywall tape
The tape bubbles no matter what I do.

Not enough mud under the tape, or you pressing so hard on the knife you forsing it all out.

drywall tape
I am working on a house that is 130 years old and am having trouble with
drywall tape bubbles. No matter what I do the tape bubbles. I have to cover up an area in the celling where there was a register and I can't get the tape smooth over this area.

Is it sheetrock or plaster your trying to patch?
In some cases I've had to prime the plaster with Zinzeer 123 let it dry then do the patch. |
