Drywall paper ripped
I need help and fairly quickly if you could.I have taken off the
4inch x 4inch tiles from around the fiberglass shower stall we have in our ensuite. I cut out the grout lines with a carbide tipped hand tool and used a chisel to remove the tiles.Unfortunately some of the first layer of gyproc (sheet rock) paper came off with the tile and left the brown paper exposed. Is it okay to put mud on top of that to level it out.The drywall is 4 inches wide under the tile and is intact from under the corner bead to where it ends before touching the flange of the shower stall. This all out side of the shower stall itself.
Skim over with a wide blade to get the best results.
