Drywall over brick


Doing some living room upgrades and decided to cover up the brick fireplace but still having it a working fireplace. Got cement board, furring strips, drywall. Any pointers? Never tried this before.

Drywall over brick


Screw the strips into the brick with tapcon screws. Then screw the drywall into the strips. Tape and sand a few times and ur done.
