Drywall over 4" block wall base
There's an 8' wall in my mother's den that has a course of concrete block as a base. It's 4" block and the wall is framed up directly on top of this single course of block. Thus, the bottom 8" of the wall is block and the remainder of the wall is framed out with wood.
What's the best way to go about securing drywall to the block portion of this wall? Should I just glue the bottom 8" of the drywall?
The block is filled and has three coats of DryLok over it on both sides. No immediate concerns with water infiltration - should I use mold resistant drywall regardless?
