Drywall... help

HELP! My house is 7 years old and in a few of the rooms we are starting to see "black lines" where the studs and the gable end truss are at. My wife took a magic eraser and rubbed it and it does come off but i'm not sure if it is dust settling or what? It is wierd because it is only where the studs are. Any thoughts? Thanks

Drywall... help

What type of heating do you have?
Do you have a fireplace or wood stove and use it?
Scented candles?

Wife or You use the fire alarm as a kitchen timer?
(seriously...I'm just asking but it could help diagnose the problem)

We have a propane furnace. No wood burner or fireplace, but wife burns scented candles pretty often. Thanks

My sister's house is a whole lot older then that, she uses scented candles in the bathroom, it leaves black lines on the seams, thats the walls high spots.
