Drywall finishing underneath stairwell
http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s...e/26a91308.jpg
I'm planning crown molding in the usual places, but any idea how to finish this stairwell at the ceiling? I'm stumped. :help: |
To tape that --I would use a tape called--Straight-Flex---available at the Home Depot in my area.
Crowning that will require a bit of boxing,I believe. Even if you are adding crown to the room --the ceiling/wall joint should be taped to seal out fire-- doesn't need to be finished--just sealed.---Mike--- |

Finish with the StraitFlex as mentioned and just stop the crown short on the sides of the "off" angle with a return piece to cap the end on the outside corner. Cut the correct angle on the inside corner side to kill into the ceiling slant. Another option and less work than boxing around the angle.
