Drywall corner question
Hi all,
Lurking has gotten me most all of the answers I have needed, but this one I can't find. Remodeling a bathroom and used a pre-fab shower pan, built walls to be tiled. Question: Where the drywall meets the DensiGuard, do I put outside corner bead on the DensiGuard side? If not, what do I do? Cut the corner bead in half long ways so it covers the drywall side, but not the DensiG side? Thanks! |
Assuming that the drywall and densguard meet at an outside corner, I would install a corner bead. Tape the corner bead to the densguard just like the other joints. Then seal over it with whatever you are using to seal the rest of the densguard.

As Maintenance6 said you can use a regular corner bead and just finish the drywall side. Or there is a "half bead" (HD and Lowes both carry it) that you can cap the drywall side with so you don't have to snip a full bead down.......
