Drywall in a Corner with No bead

Just doing some work and ripped up some drywall on a soffit. 2 adjacent pieces of drywall, butted up . That's it . No paper,nothing.

Just curious - how unorthodox or normal is this.....with nothing in the corner. Soffit is obviously up high and it's a horizontal running joint.

Whatever the case may be, in the 6 years of owning this house....I don't recall ever seeing 1 crack ever along this whole soffit !

They should have been taped. But if nothing ever cracked then what's the problem? Or were you just curious if this is normal? If so, no, it's not normal to have any untaped lines.

If plaster is the material then good job, if drywall then lucky
