Do bugs live in drywall?

Hi,
Recently patched a hole in my wall. Went to reclaim part of a piece of dry wall I removed a few years ago, which has been sitting inside our condo. When I broke open part of it, there were little grey bugs in it. What the heck. Wish I had taken a pic, but I just had to get it out of the condo ASAP. Do bugs regularly live INSIDE of drywall? some were grey, one was brownish. The grey were kind of rolly polly shaped but smaller, more jagged and not as round.

:eek:Skin is still crawling.

Thanks,

Some bugs eat the paper on the drywall, they like the starch, and I've seen termites, wasp and carpenter ants eat through it.
Without that picture it's anyone's guess what it was.

I have also seen the bugs eating the paper of a dry wall.
