Demo then Sheetrock Few questions


Ok im about to demo my bath room and work my way up...now when you demo a bath room do most people also tare down the ceiling sheet rock also?


and the hardest part seem around the window..i say that cause theres metal 45 degree around the edges stud.. of the window... beneath as you can see in my photo i shaded..so is the best thing to take out the window to resheet rock that area? also gunna put wood trim around the window when done so if i do that im wondering if even gotta take out the wndow

Demo then Sheetrock Few questions


You would take down the ceiling rock if you need to, but if you do not need to don't. As for the window area. Those corners can be stubborn. If you are not planning on replacing the window and the surrounding rock is not in need of replacing do this: cut your rock with a knife along the outside line of where your wood trim will be going. Then you can remove the surrounding drywall. Then when you re-rock the room you can butt you new sheets around the window instead of dealing with the corners if they don't need to be done.
