damaged sheetrock/compound joint/texturing

We applied joint compound to the bathroom sheetrock wall that was damaged down to the brown part in sections. It of course, bubbled. Now, my hubbie is sanding it. Is it ok to prime and paint afterwards?
Thank you,
Aunt Gigi

Not if it bubbled under the moisture of the joint compound. Peel the loose paper and patch it again and see if it takes this time.:)
