cracking drywall

I hung drywall in my basement a couple months ago and now the seams are cracking. I used mesh tape. It is only cracking on the cealing. Do I now have to rip all of it down and use paper tape? I am thinking the mesh is the cause. Whats the best way to repair?

cracking drywall

Mesh is for chemical-dry compounds, not regular mud. Paper is stronger than mesh. You could paper tape over but it may show, depending on your lighting. And your level of expertise. Room temperature plays a huge part when taping with air-dry mud.
Be safe, G
